Bobby Brown is a Utility Information Systems Security Architect for the Smart Grid Engineering Team. His experience in information security and systems operations makes him an asset to the EnerNex staff. Bobby will dedicates much of this time to working the security teams and their upcoming projects.

Brown is an experienced enterprise architect with a successful background in directing computing infrastructure improvements and managing a secure system. Prior to joining EnerNex, Brown was the Director of Information Systems for Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. In this capacity, he developed and implemented enterprise security including risk assessments, disaster recovery/business continuity plans, computer use policies, security policies, technical standards and processes. He also analyzed business processes, identified priorities and developed assignments for major re-engineering workflow.

As the President of Computer Knowledge, Inc. Bobby was a consultant for networking, information system solutions and security. He was responsible for bringing companies into compliance with industry best practices and standards, developing security plans, policies and procedures. He also managed and developed customer Web sites and web-based applications.
